The info is below what got entered when i copied it into the W7 registry. So i installed it on a virtual Windows xp machine and it worked.Then i remembered about a service that runs.It wasnt there on the Windows 7 Services snap-in, so looked in the XP registry and found the section under Hkey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet001\Services and the section is called lxcz_device.

Strange thing was i could scan, just not print!! Which flew in the face of the Lexmark software which said "Communication error"!!Īfter trying the usual things like firewall and defender etc - I re-installed the software which didn't help.
Since upgrading to Windows 7 it stopped printing, even though it picked it up and configured a driver for it.
I have been using Vista 圆4 SP1 for a while and have a Lexmark X1270 connected.
